It becomes really difficult to identify the lawn grass diseases. The common lawn grass diseases are dollar spot, brown patch, leaf spot, fairy rings, red thread, rust and snow mold. The lawn grass can not be diagnosed easily so there are some key points and symptoms of grass diseases that are shape and size of the dying and dead plants , specific on the leaves and quality of dying and dead plants. Some people sware by the organic corn gluten meal as a way to help, but I am not really sure about that.

The severe lawn grass diseases also affect the quality of the root system, color of the leaf and different types of characteristics that make affect the look of the lawn. At the time of diagnosing these lawn grass diseases it is wise to make a proper record of the treatments such as herbicides, fertilizers, mowing frequency and height.

The lawn grass diseases may ruin the over all appearance of the lawn so person knows fully the techniques of turf management to deal effectively with harmful lawn grass diseases. Adopting the integrated process of pest control and turf managements reduces the need of fungicides. The process of grass disease development is often associated with planting and selecting of adapted grass variety.

Giving of sufficient water to the lawn is also part of grass disease development process along with the process of proper fertilization equipping fully with the right and balanced amount of nutrients in the grass.

Regular mowing is also must to cure the lawn grass diseases along with the provision of air movement and sunlight. The most destructive type of lawn grass diseases are leaf spot that leads to discoloration. Melting out is also one of the common diseases faced by the lawn grass that happens because of the fungus drechslera poae.

The main reasons of lawn grass diseases are excessive thatching, heavy types nitrogen fertilization, excessive shading , close lawn mowing ad many more that helps in promoting these type of lawn diseases. So to cure the lawn grass diseases it is must to understand correctly the lawn grass diseases. The common reasons for occurrence of the lawn grass diseases are poor maintenance of the soil, lack of sunlight, grass seeds are also not perfectly matches with the conditions and climate.

So I purchased this site because I am Mikey, and secondly because I am crazy about grass and lawn care stuff. For some reason, I just enjoy seeing my green grass during the spring and summer and even into the later fall. Green grass just feels good to me.

I also really enjoy working on the lawn. Cutting the grass is not a chore for me, it’s relaxing time for me to enjoy the world around me without getting bothered (cuz the lawn mower is so loud, no one can bother me LOL)

I also like working with and trying out new lawn fertilizers and seeing what they do. I have most recently started work with organic or natural fertilizers for my lawn and have been pretty happy with the results.

I have found that natural fertilizers require a lot more “to be dumped on the lawn” but the results are better too. you do have to be patient with the lawn when you use the organics too. I guess that is because of the extremely slow release nature of natural fertilizers. I have ben told too that this is a good thing because the natural organics won’t burn the lawn either, so they are kinda idiot proof, and dang dontcha know I need that.

So anyway, that’s all for now, I hope you folks will enjoy my lawn care journey as I learn along theway! Go greener!
